Bali with Kids: Five things that will keep the kids happy

Looking for a destination for your next family trip? Bali is an excellent choice! From beautiful beaches to the lush rice terraces around Ubud to the culture to the purpose-built attractions in Bali for kids, there is plenty here to entertain the whole family.

1) Have a picnic at the beach

Bali has a beach to suit every mood and every age. You can have a great picnic by the beach while your kids are building sandcastles and swimming. The island is world-famous for its surf, and it’s never too early to start learning how to paddle out and catch a good wave.

2) Spend the Day at Waterbom Park

One of the best things to do in Bali with family would have to be a visit to Waterbom park in Kuta.  Said to be the best water park in Asia, both kids, and the adults will love this place with its 17 water slides, pools and water games for children of all ages. Services and facilities are first class and are a highlight for many families traveling to Bali with children.

3) Have a relaxing massage

Treat the entire family to some pampering.  There are multiple places in Bali that you can be pampered with a massage or various spa treatments such as pedicures, manicures, facials, and body scrubs. You can enjoy these treatments on the beach, in a day spa or massage parlor.

4) Visit the Pod chocolate

Pod chocolate is where Indonesian cocoa is turned into a range of delicious gourmet sweets. Pod chocolate also offers tours where chocoholics of all ages can not only taste the factory’s myriad chocolate flavors – lemongrass, ginger and coconut amongst them – but also witness the magic behind the chocolate-making process. Best of all, the tours give children a chance to make their own mini chocolate elephants!

5) See the Devdan Show

End your visit to Bali with a bang by catching the award-winning Devdan show. The show is on at the Bali Theatre in Nusa Dua and is a great way to learn more about Bali and Indonesian culture. The show also has the perfect combination of traditional dance as well as modern special effects, aerial performances, acrobatics, modern dance, and illusions.
